光学系とセンサと計算を一体として設計する。イベントカメラ、Time-of-Flight、偏光、熱赤外といったセンサと、変調・構造化した照明を組み合わせたアクティブ計測によって、形状や反射特性、材質など、従来では見えなかった情報を取り出す。
We design optics, sensors, and computation as a unified whole. Combining sensors such as event cameras, Time-of-Flight, polarization, and thermal infrared with modulated and structured illumination, we extract information that was previously invisible — shape, reflectance, and material.
計測したデータや仮想モデルから映像・構造物を生成する。デジタルファブリケーションによる質感の再現や、Gaussian Splatting によるシーンの合成を通じて、撮像系と一体となった新しい表現を設計する。
From measured data and virtual models, we generate imagery and structures. Through reproducing appearance with digital fabrication and synthesizing scenes with Gaussian Splatting, we design new forms of expression inseparable from the imaging system.
イベントカメラを用いた計算撮像を中心に、形状・質感の計測から外観検査への応用、シーンの合成まで研究を進めている。以下は現在進行中のテーマである。
